Knot & Nous Summer 2021 Update

Ministry Update and A Few Changes

Hello everyone!

It has been a few months since I’ve sent out an update on things, so I wanted to do so now as I’ve changed up a few things.

First of all, I have now officially sent out over 300 prayer ropes in the past 18 months! I’m pretty excited about this milestone, and it continues to be a major blessing in my life to hear about people’s prayer lives.

Orders have really slowed down over the past few months, which has given me a much-needed break. I say much-needed because my wife and I were blessed to welcome our second child into the world this past April. Please keep us, as well as little Theodore in your prayers. I’d also like to apologize to those of you who placed orders in April or May. Turnaround time on those orders was truly subpar.

I also discovered that for about a month, people were unable to place orders because the e-commerce platform I use made a change to their shipping settings that required me to manually enter new shipping rates. Until recently, this also prevented ordering prayer ropes for international delivery. This has since been updated, so now you should be able to order regardless of location.

Please accept my apologies for the inconvenience. If you attempted to place an order but received an error, try again! The site should be working now.

Things have stabilized somewhat recently, and have allowed me to make some much-needed changes to how K&N operates. You may notice this newsletter looks a bit different from previous ones. The reason for that is because I no longer use Mailchimp to provide these updates. I have since moved to Substack, which is a much more stable platform, especially for Christian content creator, which Mailchimp have often deemed unfit to serve. This change also comes with the migration of my website over to the same platform as my newsletter. As such, you’ll see a few more of these updates in your email. Don’t worry, though! If you only want the newsletter, just click ‘Unsubscribe’ at the bottom and you can turn off categories you don’t want (the K&N newsletter will continue under ‘Prayer Ropes’ - if you turn off notifications for the others, you’ll still get ministry updates).

I will be closing down my Patreon account in the near future (for similar reasons that I’m leaving Mailchimp). Substack has subscription options that will unlock similar benefits as Patreon, namely, discounts in the K&N store. This will also allow me to maintain fewer online accounts and log in to fewer places in order to maintain my efforts here. I will be reaching out to my patrons individually over the coming weeks as I close things down, but if you’d like to support me, monthly donations via a subscription are the best way.

For those who would prefer to make single donations, they are still an option.

Thank you for your support in sending prayer ropes around the world!
