Meatloaf is the single healthiest thing I've ever cooked in a bread pan!

What

  • 1/2 cup sliced onion

  • 2 tbsp butter

  • 6 tbsp ketchup, divided

  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs*

  • 1/4 cup parsley

  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce

  • 3/4 tsp dried oregano

  • 1/4 tsp salt

  • 1/4 tsp pepper

  • 1 pound ground beef

  • 1 egg

How

  1. Preheat oven to 350F

  2. Saute onions in butter until caramelized.

  3. In a mixing bowl, mix sauteed onions, 3 tbsp ketchup, and all remaining ingredients together.

  4. Add mixture to greased 8" bread pan, top with remaining ketchup.

  5. Bake until done.**


*Sub out for oatmeal, potato flakes, or any other somewhat starchy binder as desired.

**blah blah blah, USDA standards 160F, takes about 35 minutes. Better listen to Uncle Sam. blah blah blah
